WHITCHURCH School Association recently organised a five-a-side football tournament to raise funds for the school.
Eight teams were entered ? one from each class, plus one from Whitchurch Pre-school
An assortment of dads, big brothers, uncles and friends ?volunteered? to play for their children?s classes and put in lots of effort with plenty of support from their fans.
Redwings Rovers were narrowly the winning team with AC Merlins runners-up.
The ladies were represented in a hotly contested, if rather brief, tug-o?-war contest. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening which included a barbecue, and more than £300 was raised for the school.
