Okehampton Cup quarter final Okehampton 1st 4 Morchard Bishop 1 MORCHARD Bishop?s young and enthusiastic side caused Okehampton several problems in the early exchanges. Daniel Malcolm in the Okehampton goal marshalled his defence well. Okehampton made some changes to the team that played on Saturday and brought in some fresh legs. Mathew Mortimore slotted in at left back and had a really good game, supported well by James Williams, Mike Vernon and Chris Wills. Okehampton did manage to break down a stubborn Morchard defence when Chris Wills broke out of defence and delivered a good ball. Finding Steve Williams wide on the right he delivered a superb cross for Steve Kinsey to score. In the second half Okehampton played down the slope and within five minutes added a second through Steve Kinsey. Morchard Bishop seemed to be struggling at this point and it really was a question of how many Okehampton would score. Mathew King played alongside Phillip Evans in the centre of midfield and both enjoyed plenty of possession and used the ball to good effect creating opportunities for Robert Sandercock down the right wing. Steve Kinsey, normally playing in the centre of midfield, played as strike partner to Steve Williams. Both had further opportunities to score but it was Kinsey that completed his hat trick, giving the keeper no chance from close range. Mathew King scored Okehampton?s fourth with a well-taken goal and a consolation goal for Morchard that was the best goal of the game from a strike of fully 35 yards. Late substitutes were Adam Mortimore for Steve Williams and Stuart Cann and Neil Agnew replacing Phillip Evans and Paul Yip. Semi finals are to be played sometime in March 2006.
