A BERE Alston man has set up a support group for people with diabetes after his appeal for sufferers interested in meeting together received a strong response.

Clive Simpson has arranged for the diabetes group to hold its first meeting next month.

The meeting aims to discuss issues relating to diabetes and give up-to-date health information on the condition, helping people to learn more by sharing experience and knowledge about diabetes.

The meeting will take place at Bere Alston surgery on Wednesday, February 13, at 2.30pm.

Mr Simpson says that anyone in the Bere peninsula with diabetes or who helps someone living with the condition is welcome to attend.
