IN the first game of the season, Tavistock College Under 14's got away to a convincing winning start.

The captain, Keir Murphy, led by example, scoring the first two tries and putting over a conversion before St. Boniface hit back with a converted try. The forwards provided the backs with a good supply of scrum and line out ball.

This allowed centre, Dave Milligan to run in a hat trick of tries. Billy Barriball scored a try in the corner after a flowing move along the backs.

Glenn Fuller put the forwards on the score sheet with a powerful 40 metre run.

The best score of the game came from full back Josh Birch who collected a St Boniface kick off deep in his own 22 metres and ran 70 metres evading all efforts to stop him. Harry Eaton completed the scoring with two conversions.
