FIREFIGHTERS from Tavistock lifted a man from Lydford Gorge on Christmas Eve, after he fell out of a tree. Two crews from Tavistock attended the scene at about 1pm after an ambulance crew requested help in lifting the casualty out of the difficult location into the air ambulance. The man suffered head injuries but they are not thought to be life-threatening.
