ENGLAND may be down but not out after a disappointing draw against Sweden on Sunday but fans in Okehampton are remaining optimistic that the team can pull off a win against Argentina tomorrow (Friday.)

Local pubs with licences to show World Cup matches are gearing themselves up for the big game which starts at 12.30pm.

Landlord of the Exeter Arms Harry Carr said the Sweden match was disappointing but the result was not the end of the world and England still had a good chance of getting through the first round.

'We had nearly 100 people in for the match on Sunday and we are expecting large numbers for Friday,' he said.

'I am optimistic that England will play well. Sunday was a bit of a warm-up match.'
