POSSIBLY one of the best Eagles tribute bands playing in the world today will perform at The Wharf in Tavistock this Sunday.
Featuring some of the finest musicians in Yorkshire, The Beagles were formed in 1998 from the nucleus of the Stu Page Band, a group who enjoyed a huge following among fans of country blues in the UK.
The Beagles have since grown to become one of the busiest bands around and from their extensive touring they have already developed a sizeable fan base.
The band plays all the timeless Eagles classics, from the country-style ballads (Take It Easy, Desperado) to the out and out rocky tunes (Life in the Fast Lane). Nothing is missed and whatever your favourite Eagles song, be it the infamous Hotel California or the more rocky Victim of Love, you are almost certain to hear it at a night with The Beagles.
The band is not like many other Eagles tribute bands ? one thing to set them apart is their ability to perform ?unplugged?. In this intimate, acoustic set, they have managed to capture that special something difficult to find ? a really close rapport with the audience.
At home at both small and huge venues, they manage a performance to be savoured.
?Audiences scream for more, eventually leaving the venue on a high? (Dianne Davies, North Country Music June 2000).
The Beagles are a thrilling experience for young and old alike and even die-hard Eagles fans agree this is by far the best Eagles tribute band around.
The Beagles appear at The Wharf on Sunday May 4 at 8pm. Tickets £7 in advance/£8 on the night.
