Chagford Seconds v Kenn Seconds
CHAGFORD batting first made a quickfire start with Whittingham (32) and Moss (28) pitting on 56 for the first wicket.
Paul Penberthy departed for a duck but Chris Filor conntinued his excellent form and in company with Skipper and Kenn old boy Simon Snell put on a stand of 188 for the fourth wicket before declaring after only 34 of the allotted 46 over at 259 for 3 wickets.
Chris Filor made his first century for the club with 111 not out and Snell l-60 not out, Bartlett was the most sucessful Kenn bowler with 2 for 36.
In reply Kenn sooon lost opening bat Paul Newbury with Bartlett also excelled with the bat and with Philpott made a stubborn stand for 56 for the second wicket.
However with Philpot's dismissal for 19, wickets fell at regular intervals with only Gosling 13 making double figures.
Bartlett was finally bowlled by Wakefield foran excellent 53 and Kenn were all out for 144 to give Chagford victory by 145 runs.
Stenece Sizmuir 3 for 20, R Brijnath 2 for 13 Paul Penberthy 2 for 4, Paul Wakefield 2 for 50 and Veteran Ken Moss 1 for 24 shared the wickets in a good team performance.
Chagford 20 points Kenn 2 points.
This concluded a good week end for the Chagford club with two victories and a maximum of 40 points.
