THE premier screening of a West-Devon made film is due to take place this weekend.
The Visitation, which was written and produced by Dom Carnell and shot in Brentor, will be seen for the first time on Saturday — to coincide with the re-opening of the refurbished village hall.
The cast of The Visitation is made up local people, mainly from The Brentorians theatre group. The screenings will take place in the village hall at 7.30pm on Saturday and at 3pm on Sunday, tickets £3.50 for adults, £2 for chldren.
Around £180,000 has been spent on the refurbishment of Brentor Village Hall, which will be officially declared open by the Mayor of West Devon, Cllr John Hockridge, at noon on Saturday.
After the ceremony, there will be a village lunch. All are welcome — tickets for adults are £5 to include a glass of wine, £3 for children to include a soft drink.
