MEMBERS of the public are being invited to go along to the annual meeting Okehampton Moving Pictures — a community group that shows films in village halls and towns. The meeting will be held at the Ockment Centre, Okehampton on March 27 at 7.30pm. The group has already shown films in Northlew, Bratton Clovelly, Hatherleigh, Zeal Monachorum, Sticklepath and Sampford Courtenay. Volunteers from OMP set up the screen and projection equipment for the film shows in the village and town halls. Phillip Wagstaff, a member of the group and one of the organisers, said: 'We tend to go into the villages and ask people what they want. It's really important to get the right film in the right village.'
