A WEST Devon village church will be holding a flower and craft festival in celebration of harvest time, after a two-year break.

St Peter's Church in Meavy is hosting the flower and craft festival at the end of this month, and this year it has been decided to celebrate the harvest festival with displays in the church around the theme of farvest.

As well as many flower and vegetable arrangements, there will be art and craft work created by the children from Meavy School and Meavy and Yelverton Pre-school.

The church will be open for the flower and craft festival from 10am to 5pm on Friday, September 30 and Saturday October 1 and from noon until 5pm on Sunday October 2, following the harvest service at 11am.

Refreshments, crafts and produce will be available throughout the festival and there will be a quiz for attendees to try.

Entry is free but donations towards St Peter's Church restoration are welcome.
