ANOTHER week, another challenge, and no, I'm not talking about training.
Two weeks ago I was heard and not seen when attempting to play a surdo drum on Radio Devon.
However last week I was seen and not heard in front of a full stadium at Sandy Park, the home of Exeter Chiefs rugby team.
After an introduction, alongside the recent Commonwealth Games medallists — Okehampton shooter Gorgs Geikie and Exeter swimmer Liam Tancock — we were given a kick at goal.
I didn't learn until after that Liam had played rugby for many years at school, so when I attempted to stroll up to the ball in a similar style the result was far from synonymous!
I'm taking my time to adjust to autumn.
Having been away for all of September and half of October I'm struggling to comprehend that summer has long gone.
I've only just packed away my bikinis and floral summer skirts into the attic, not to be seen again for what seems an eternity.
I then realised it's now time to rediscover my winter wardrobe, just not soon enough.
My last weekend at home in Devon the sun was shining and it was pleasantly mild, so digging out the hats and scarves seemed unnecessary.
However, the next day I was in Bath scraping the ice off my windscreen — I'm not home for two more weeks — and wearing as many layers as I could find.
