WE were delighted to see the wonderful photographs of Drewsteignton?s Teignton Fayre on the cover and inside the June 10 edition of the Okehampton Times.
Since the event was re-established in the millennium year we have raised over £10,000 for local good causes and thanks to the help of a significant number of sponsors and volunteers we will be able to add to that figure this year.
May we take the opportunity to thank all those involved in any capacity for their support and in many cases sheer physical effort which made our fayre such a success this year. We also hope that we can rely on their help for future events.
Finally a special appreciation for the tolerance and goodwill of the residents in the village square, without whom we could not undertake such an event.
