TWO Tavistock men have raised £500 for charity after running the Cardiff Half Marathon.
Tim Lowe and Dave Brittan ran the 13 miles for a small charity called 'Family Matters', run by Tim's father Charlie Lowe.
Plymouth-based, it was set up in 2001, offering support to families who are struggling with problems that affect their relationships.
Tim, running his second half marathon, finished in one hour and 45 minutes while Dave on his first attempt came in at a spectacular time of one hour and 52 minutes.
Cardiff hosts one of the biggest runs in the UK with 18,000 runners altogether. Both men were tired but well satisfied and said it was worth all the many hours of training beforehand.
