PAKISTANI families affected by the devastating recent earthquake will be helped to rebuild their lives thanks to the people of Okehampton. The coffee morning at Fairplace Church, on Saturday, November 12, will be organised by Ann and John Holland in aid of the Pakistani Earthquake Appeal. There will be a bring and buy stall and those who cannot come but wish to donate a gift are asked to take it to the church shop in the arcade. l Okehampton Choral Society?s popular Christmas programme Carols for All is to be performed not once but twice this year at Fairplace Church. For many years, this concert has been oversubscribed, but two dates have now been fixed so no-one need be disappointed. A wide range of carols will be performed at the church on Monday, December 5, and Friday, December 9, both at 7.30pm. Tickets will be available from Beanfeast in the arcade from the middle of November onwards.
