MORE than 50 people tucked into a fairly traded breakfast in Bere Ferrers church hall last month. Choices included tea, coffee, cereals, jams, honey, marmalade, to have with bread or toast – locally sourced bacon and eggs were also on offer. Although it was not intended as a fundraising event a £90 profit was made which St Andrew's Church has donated for the expenses of lay reader Harry Davies when he and Trevor Paddon-Hall visit Macedonia again to bring aid to orphans and the sick of the country. Thanks were expressed to everyone who 'slaved over a hot stove' for the big breakfast.
