TAVISTOCK Area Support Service's charity shop has undergone a redecoration and is again open for business.

Six volunteers stripped the old shop out, redecorated and re-opened in four days.

Trustee and volunteer at TASS Val Dodd said: 'It was a great achievement, with a small budget and a group of willing volunteers.

'It is amazing what can be done in such a short space of time.'

The shop re-opened with a fresh new look, new stock and a new section selling all types of music, including LPs.

Andy Lyle, manager at TASS, said: 'The charity shop is vital to TASS in raising much needed finance to continue the work of the charity. The volunteers turn out Monday to Saturday in all weathers to open the shop.

'If you are having a spring clean this year, please remember TASS as we are always on the lookout for good quality clothes, bric-a-brac, toys, DVDs and CDs etc.

'All the money we raise helps to support local older people. We accept donated goods Monday to Friday at the Anchorage Centre.'
