A LIFTON resident is holding a fabulously pink double fundraiser this month to help support Cancer Research.

Mandy Kenyon is organising the double event, hosted by Lifton Hall Hotel and supported by the Pampered Chef. It will include a coffee morning from 10am on October 20, followed by a Pink Punch evening at 7.30pm. Both events will include a cookery demonstration and an opportunity to buy special pink cooking products with a percentage of each sale going to the Pampered Chef's Help Whip Cancer Campaign.

Mandy said: '£1-million has already been donated to Cancer Research through this type of event and I wanted to do something to make a difference.

'There is a £3.50 entry fee to the events, which will include each guest's first drink, and tasters with a pink theme. There will also be a prize draw and freebies.

'There is a free goody bag for the first 50 people to contact me and say they are coming to either the coffee morning or punch evening. The goodies include lovely pink things but also a leaflet on how to detect and also reduce the risk of breast cancer.'
