The closing date for applications for grants for Diamond Jubilee celebrations in the Calstock parish has been extended to April 26.

There will now be two £50 grants on offer in each of the wards of Calstock, Chilsworthy/Latchley/Cox Park, Delaware/ St Ann's Chapel, Gunnislake and Harrowbarrow/Metherell.

Events must take place on June 2, 3, 4 or 5 and application forms are available from the parish office at the Tamar Valley Centre, Drakewalls on 01822 835038 (open 10am to 1pm Monday to Thursday) or on http://www.calstockparishcouncil.org">www.calstockparishcouncil.org

Suitable applications will be put into a draw and be made at the council's meeting on May 2.
