PARISH and town councillors along with community groups in West Devon are being invited to come along to a series of special surgeries on affordable housing where they can get expert help and advice from the borough council.
The surgeries take place on Monday, March 10 and Tuesday, March 11 at the council's headquarters at Kilworthy Park in Tavistock between 9.30am and 4.30pm.
The sessions are a chance for communities to find out about a range of initiatives which could help them develop more affordable housing for their area.
A variety of topics could be covered including funding, affordable housing sites, empty homes, local lettings plans, housing benefit, right to build, private sector loans, local allocations policy and improving private sector housing stock.
The surgeries will be hosted by Alex Rehaag, the council's Strategy and Enabling Officer for affordable housing.
A choice of time slots are available and people are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
