BAT's B team entertained Callington C for their second match in division 5 of the Plymouth and District Badminton League.

In the men's doubles rubbers, Ewen Rae, playing in his second match in two days, rolled back the years and won one of the three hard fought rubbers with Paul Bitton by keeping their opponents on the back foot and varying the play.

Unfortunately, the other two men's doubles rubbers went the way of the Callington team. In the ladies' doubles rubbers, Tamsin Woodroffe, Elizabeth Rae and Frances Ward maintained their excellent form by easily taking the three rubbers without losing a game.

Coming into the mixed doubles rubbers the BAT's team only needed one rubber to ensure victory.

Mike Ward and Elizabeth Rae got off to a slow start in the first game but gradually wore down the Callington pair, taking the rubber comfortably.

The victory was then cemented with wins by Paul Bitton and Frances Ward and Ewen Rae and Tamsin Woodroffe.

At the end of the evening, BAT's B team had won their second match convincingly 7 - 2.
