ANOTHER year has gone by and in the past year lots of dogs and cats have been rehomed from Wingletang and have found their forever home. Of course there are always more waiting to be rehomed. It was a very sad time last year when we not only read in the newspapers but also saw on television of the dog kennels that were deliberately set on fire and so many dogs died. Lots of people put a few coins into my collecting box after the tragic event and also stopped to talk about it. But a new year has begun and hopefully all the animals in rescue centres have a better life. A big thank you to everyone who took the time to donate, also buy books and cards from me at the beginning of last year. The total for 2014 was £355.60, made up of the following: collection box, £166.80; book and card sales, £188.80. On behalf of Margaret Green Animal Rescue, thank you. I am again having my usual book sale in the pannier market every Friday, so please come and buy some books from me. Every penny collected goes to the welfare of the animals at the rescue centre.
