DESPITE the atrocious weather this weekend there was a 'silver-lining' for Yelverton CC first XI, however, as the six points gained for the cancellation of their fixture against Woodland Fort CC means that Yelverton are now guaranteed promotion to the Devon Cricket League 'D' Division next season.  The E Division title however remains undecided until perhaps next weekend when Yelverton take on second placed Whitchurch who trail the Langton Park club by 26 points. 

With two games of the league season remaining and only 40 points up for grabs, Yelverton can secure back-to-back league titles/promotions if they secure 15 more points. 

Yelverton entertain Whitchurch at Langton Park on Saturday (1.30pm start) and a win for the Bohemians will go some way towards this goal.

Yelverton second and third XIs also head their respective divisions – the seconds by a slender six points from Ivybridge CC in the Devon second XI League 'C' Division and the thirds lead second placed Lifton CC by 28 points in the Tamar Cricket League B section. 

The Yelverton third XI are also finalists in the Tamar League B section cup final against Launceston third XI on August 30 at Werrington CC. 

Yelverton Seconds make the short trip up the A386 this weekend to take on their local rivals Whitchurch and the third XI travel to bottom team St Stephens CC.

With their Evening League XI winning the Plymouth and District Cricket league division two and their U11 Colts XI in the semi-final of the Palladium League Cup competition, the season has been a highly successful one for the club despite the poor weather.
