A TAVISTOCK worker has organised a charity ball next month in aid of St Luke's Hospice and Macmillan Nurses in Plymouth. Dawn Easton has joined forces with Plymouth entertainer Terri Mark to put on the event at the new Continental Hotel in the city on August 2. An ardent fundraiser, Dawn, who is a partner at Westmoor Vets, has organised charity balls in the past. She currently has 60 of the 200 tickets left to sell. The ball includes live entertainment and a three-course dinner. St Luke's Hospice provides care to hundreds of terminally ill people in the South West of Devon and South East of Cornwall. This is not only medical and nursing but incorporates practical, financial, emotional and spiritual support. The hospice is staffed by over 700 volunteers and 200 paid staff and each year it costs over £5 million to run. For more information and ticket prices contact Dawn on 01752 700998.
