A RECENT evening of music, comedy and dance in Callington raised £1,200 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event was organised by local residents Terry Bolt and Jeff Hearn who tomorrow (Friday) embark on the Macmillan Cape to Cape challenge classic car run, starting at Capo de Roca, near Lisbon in Portugal. The challenge will finish at Cape Cornwall in a week's time. Terry and Jeff are travelling in a 1950 MG TD classic.

The fundraising evening featured comedian Johnny Cowling and the Liskerrett Male Voice Choir. Various other fundraising efforts for the charity have been organised by the Lions Club of Callington and the Table Tennis Club.
