THERE'S an opportunity to spot over-wintering Avocet and other waders and wildfowl this Saturday morning (January 19). Join Peter Kent from the Cornwall Wildlife Trust and visit the bird hides which overlook the Tamar Estuary in south east Cornwall. Participants have been asked to bring , if possible, binoculars and fieldscopes, stout footwear and suitable clothing. The event costs £3 per person, payable on the day, beginning at 10.30am and ending at 1.30pm. Booking is essential for this event, as places are limited.
