Okehampton U14s 41 Bideford U14s 0 OKEHAMPTON started the season well with a hard earned victory over a plucky Bideford side. Jordan Lee opened the scoring after good work down the right quickly followed with a try by Jamie Hignett. Great driving play by the players never allowed Bideford to settle and further tries followed by Chris Pyle and two by Will Lethbridge who was always in support and quick to the breakdown. Okehampton?s final try came from a neat move down the blindside with Chris Knott making the break and James Stratton supporting well to score under the posts. Eric Bright kicked three conversions. As the season moves on games will get harder than this but it was great to see backs and forwards supporting the ball carrier throughout the game. With new players settling in well to the forwards this result was an encouraging start to the season. Training Friday ? 6pm. Next match away to Tavistock.
