THERE was another successful produce and craft show held by Lamerton WI on Saturday, August 10.

The weather held out for most of the day but later drizzle failed to dampen spirits or enthusiasm.

Entries were 30% up on last year with the standard, if anything, higher.

Visitors enthused over the exhibits, starting with eye-catching floral arrangements on entering the hall and moving on to the tasty baking classes, followed by jams, jellies and chutneys, then through to produce and crafts.

With almost 500 entries it was a bumper year. The committee expressed thanks to all who gave so generously in providing help and items for the day, as well as to those who gave their time in making it the best show so far. Prizes were awarded by Guy Massey, of Ottery Press.
