TWO days of unadulterated cycling delights took place at Tavistock Pannier Market on Sunday and Monday.

The Dartmoor Bike Show was described as the main event in Devon's cycling calendar.

It drew the crowds and helped raise the profile of cycling in the county in the wake of last year's foot and mouth crisis.

The event also raised much needed cash for the NSPCC to support its work with children and young people in Devon.

A number of local businesses, including the Times, sponsored the races by making a donation to the NSPCC.

The event was organised by Dartmoor Cycles and Shred Mountain Bike Magazine. It featured a number of exciting trade stands and displays. Competitions included open speed trials events and time trial challenges.

For children there were junior challenges — and great tips from cycling heroes such as World professional trials rider Martin Hawes and British trials champion Ben Savage.
