AMATEUR performers sang, danced and joked in attempts to please the judges and win the top spot in the recent Mary Tavy's Got Talent show, and winners will go on to perform at a musical show tomorrow (Friday).
The event showcased a wide variety of acts from singing to gymnastics and two winners were picked from the many entries.
Winner of the the junior category was eleven-year-old Izzy Simpson from Mary Tavy who wowed judges by singing Lean On Me, originally by Bill Withers.
David Parish from Plymouth was the adult winner, and amused the audience with an entertaining recital of The Lion and Albert by Marriott Edgar.
David Buncle, who performed in the show, said: 'It was a great success and we had a full house.
'We had a great variety of performances, including ballet, singing and comedy.
'There was a gymnastic act by a group of girls from Tavistock College and Daniel and Isaac Buncle from Mary Tavy did an act based on Jujitsu.
'A good some of money was raised from the evening. We collected about £175 for the village hall.'
As well as receiving cash prizes, the winners will go on to perform at the musical show Oh What A Night! at Coronation Hall in Mary Tavy tomorrow night.
Oh What A Night! will entertain audiences with songs from a range of musicals, including Sister Act, Oliver, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Les Miserables and a medley of Beatles songs.
The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets, available on the door, cost £3 for adults and £1.50 for seniors and children.
