IT was the end of an era for a West Devon group this month, when members decided to wind their organisation up at the annual meeting. Lifton Golden Circle has decided that due to a variety of reasons, including falling membership and failing health of some members, the club should be discontinued. It was agreed that the remaining funds should be donated to Devon Air Ambulance and the League of Friends at Launceston Hospital. Members made a vote of thanks to Lifton residents Mr and Mrs Yorke, who have made their home available for the circle?s regular meetings.
