IN the Tavistock Social Clubs' snooker Conseravative C progressed through to the cup semi final with a 4-1 win over Conservative B.

Despite the early scare of Mark Evans putting the B team one up, Ewings, Jago and Andrews did the business for Con C as they progressed with no further setbacks. Conservative C now find themselves tackling West Devon A in the semi finals. West Devon A beat Conservative A in a match that went down to a final frame black ball. Lacey finding some form put Con A one up only for Hurford to pull one back for WD.

Carruthers again put Con A in front only for Rich to draw WD level again in a tough game against Tom Evans. Emptage then sealed it for WD with a nail biting black ball frame against Cook to make it 3- 2 for the West Devon.

Royal British Legion A had a tough match against Conservative D but won through to the semis with a final frame win for Ryall. Earlier Con D showed some true metal with Hoare taking out Grylls to cancel out a Wood win over Wilkinson. Jack May put Con in front with a marathon frame against Stewart. It could have been curtains for RBL A but Con D's Palmer was unable to convert his black ball game instead Wickett sneaked it to set up the final frame decider for Ryall to convert.

Semi-finals: Conservative C v West Devon A and Royal British Legion A v West Devon B.
