A FORMER store supervisor with Somerfield in Tavistock pleaded guilty to three charges of theft and asked for nine similar offences to be taken into consideration when she appeared before magistrates in Plymouth last week. The court heard Inga Gee, 39, of Greenlands in Tavistock, had worked for Somerfield for more than 20 years and was trusted with keys which opened till drawers at the supermarket. The court was told that over a period of three months last year, Ms Gee would ring up ?void? receipts when customers paid in cash ? she would later use the keys to take the money out of the till. The thefts amounted to more than £340. After hearing probation officer reports, Ms Gee, who was of previous good character, was ordered to carry out 100 hours? community service, pay £340.20 compensation to Somerfield and £55 court costs.
