TWO Christmas crackers arrived last week!
First into the world with a Christmas Day entrance was little Ella Louise Kaye. She was born just after 8am and weighed in at 7lb 14oz.
It meant an extra special Christmas for proud parents Beth and Tony Kaye, of South Zeal, for whom it was their first baby.
Ella was not actually due until after Christmas, but Beth was admitted to hospital early.
?She?s lovely, she?s feeding well and they looked after me so well at Okehampton maternity unit,? said Beth, a part-time student who is studying at Plymouth University.
And there was a real ?exclusive? for Okehampton Times reporter Alison Stephenson.
Alison gave birth to a bonny girl at 35 minutes past midnight on Saturday, December 28 at Plymouth?s Derriford Hospital.
Freya Lidia weighed in at 8lb 14ozs. She was due on December 27, but ? unlike her mum ? missed her deadline by just over half an hour!
Alison said: ?She?s just really lovely ? I can?t believe she?s here; it?s great!?
Alison said Freya has dark hair and looks like husband Keith.
?I was thinking she was going to be a boy, so it was a surprise ? but a nice one.
?It?s nice for my mum too, because she?s got two grandsons,? said Alison.
