VISITORS can travel back in time to the Elizabethan period as the 16th century is brought back to life at Buckland Abbey on October 4/5.

Throughout the weekend there will be many different activities and performances for everyone to enjoy at the former home of Sir Francis Drake.

Renaissance Historical Dance will demonstrate dances in the Great Barn and Mock Hobby Horse will be playing atmospheric music in the abbey.

The abbey's two cooks will prepare a feast and there will be an opportunity to find out about the different foods made in this period.
