AN event to raise money for twin boys with cerebral palsy has been hailed as a ?magnificent? success. Bere Alston Trekkers (BATs) organised the event which raised £962.81 for William and Edward Larkin ? the money will go towards the twins getting multi-terrain wheelchairs to allow them free play on both the beach and the moor. The BATs expressed thanks to everybody who donated items for all the stalls, especially the cakes, and to all who donated prizes for the raffle which amounted to 125. They ran out of raffle tickets at about 2pm after selling £400?s worth. BATs also expressed thanks to Brooks, Frank Elford Spots, Bere Ferrers Parish Council, Abbey Garden Sales, Tavistock Mackays, staff of West Devon Borough Council, Tavistock Athletics and all the villagers for their support.
