PUPILS at Tavistock Community Primary and Nursery School will now be enjoying their reading in the school’s newly refurbished library.
Following the refurbishment, the school’s Home School Association gave a generous donation of £7,000 which has allowed the school to fill the new library with a great variety of books for children of all age groups to enjoy.
A spokesperson for Tavistock Primary School said: ‘The school has chosen its first pupil librarians, who were selected following an application and interview process where they demonstrated a great knowledge and enthusiasm about books and reading. The pupil librarians will help to select new books for the library, promote the school library and inspire other pupils’ love of reading.’
