LAMERTON came out easy winners going two goals up in the first five minutes when both Zak Beesley and then Lee Wickett scored from close range.
Lee Wickett got Lamerton?s third and from then on it was comfortable for the home side. Dave Byworth scored the fourth and when Simon Breyley was brought down in the box following a mazey run he converted the penalty himself to make the score 5-0 at halftime.
The second half went much the same way. Byworth and Beesley both got their second goals but the best goals were reserved for the end of the game. Steve Wickett scored the eighth with a superb looping left foot strike from outside the box and, not to be outdone, fellow sub Steve Roast also hit a left foot screamer which went in off the inside of the right hand post. The final goal came in the last minute with Beesley, one on one with the visitors? keeper and with a hat trick for the taking, unselfishly laid the ball square for Wickett to get his second.
