DUCHY College at Stoke Climsland has welcomed a new agricultural lecturer to teach on the agricultural first diploma programme.
Sam Walker, who lives in Okehampton, has so far had a varied and challenging career.
Having gained a degree from Harper Adams in farmland management, his working life began in Papua New Guinea, growing sustainable oil palms.
He went on to study at Sandhurst and a stint in service with the Army then spent five years as an arable farm manager. He decided to change his career path and embarked on a teaching career. He taught at Bicton College for the past year.
