PLYMOUTH'S celebrated artist Robert Lenkiewicz spoke about his work at the recent West Devon Drug Reference Group Meeting.
Mr Lenkiewicz — whose studio is based in the Barbican — discussed his recent work on his latest project 'Addictive Behaviour' when he visited the Alexander Centre in Plymouth Road..
The artist explained that his latest project was an attempt to define and clarify the basic tenets that have run through the previous 19 projects.
Mr Lenkiewicz told the meeting his work on addiction will be divided into eight sections. Areas examined ranged from the conventionally socially recognised addictive scenarios such as alcohol, drugs, gambling and eating disorders through to theological persuasions. He also focuses on social and political persuasions and goes on to obsessive behaviours.
He is especially interested in the human condition and through his work does much to explore the reasons for certain behaviour.
