FIREFIGHTERS were called to a van on fire near Princetown on Tuesday morning.

A crew from Yelverton attended the scene where a van was on fire on the B3357 just before 7am.

The van was severely damaged by the fire and the crew used two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus to deal with the incident.

The male driver was given oxygen therapy for the effects of smoke inhalation. The ambulance service also attended.
