AS an added bonus in celebrating the 10th annual Tavistock Steam Fair and the millennium the Robey Trust has announced that in addition to the Sunday steam fair it will be promoting a children's fairground in the Square on Saturday.
Trust spokesman John Hobbs said there would be a number of children's rides and other stalls placed in front of the town hall.
'It is hoped to have in attendance and in steam, two large and colourful showman's engines that were a familiar sight at Goose Fair some 50 years ago,' he said.
While the children are enjoying all the fun of the fair parents can listen to the fairground organ playing.
