I WISH to refer to the article (December 8) regarding the proposed donation of £2,100 from Tavistock Town Council to the Lions Club for manning their Park and Ride car parks during Goose Fair. The Tavistock car parks were manned by Tavistock Lions whilst the Plymouth Tamar Lions Club looked after the one at Yelverton. The donation of £2,100 will, in fact, be shared evenly between the two clubs and the members were delighted to learn that they would be receiving this money which they felt to be a true reflection of the work carried out under such appalling weather conditions.
