A TAVISTOCK women's fitness gym is launching a month-long food drive for charity to mark International Women's Day on March 8. Curves is part of a nationwide organisation of 200 clubs providing workouts for women of all ages without men or mirrors, and existing members are being asked to donate bags of food or groceries. In addition, any new members who join Curves between March 3 and 16 inclusive will have their joining fees waived in favour of foodstuffs. The food will be divided between the Gates Project, which provides short term accommodation for up to ten people who are homeless and is run by the Shekinah Mission in Plymouth, and the Women's Refuge. Further information is available from Claire Walker, the local Curves manager, on 01822 615156 or visit http://www.curves.com">www.curves.com
