VOLUNTEERS, friends and family packed the function room at the Tavy Club, Tavistock, last Friday to celebrate Tidy Tavi's first birthday with a 'Mega-Quiz', buffet and raf?e.

The quiz was of?ciated by Steve Hipsey and included rounds such as picture spin, music, history and general knowledge and questions for all age groups.

Twelve teams took part and the winners were the 'Dolly Mixtures'.

The Tidy Tavy raf?e was also supported by 27 local Tavistock businesses who donated raf?e prizes

It was decided that all proceeds of the raf?e would be donated to the local charity, the Memory Café.

Tidy Tavi is delighted with the support it has received from volunteers and the public over the past year. Tidy Tavi litter-pick days are the first Saturday of each month, meeting at the Wharf car park at 9.50am and last about two hours. Litter-picking equipment is provided, just bring stout gloves.

The next Tidy Tavi litter-pick day is November 3.
