CASTLE Drogo will be going back to the time of the Charleston during the Saturday and Sunday of the May Bank Holiday.

The castle will be holding a 1920s Weekend House Party on May 3 and 4 between 11am and 5pm.

Staff and volunteers will be dressing in style for the occasion and visitors are asked to join them and come dressed in 1920s costume.

All who do will receive a free glass of champagne.

On the Saturday there will be live jazz in the library from 2-5pm and the quartet Four Just Men will sing in the castle and around the grounds.

In the dining room, visitors will be able to place their bets at the Fun Casino between 1.30 and 4.30pm ? the castle benefitting from money raised.

Weekend visitors will be able to learn to Charleston with dance teacher Lill Kynaston.

There will also be the chance to meet servants who would have worked in the castle during the 1920s as the castle?s living history group takes on the roles.

Swing boats will be in the grounds, and on Sunday there will be a circus skills workshop from 12 noon to 4pm.

Even the restaurant will be joining in, with venison in red wine and bread and butter pudding as special additions to their menu.
