A DOCTOR from Abbey Surgery in Tavistock is taking part in this year?s London Marathon to raise money for local hospices. Dr Annette Roberts is running for the charity ?Help the Hospices? and funds raised will go towards St Luke?s Hospice and the Children?s Hospice South West among others. Annette said: ?I hope to raise as much money as possible for this very worthwhile cause. Many hospices rely on fundraising and donations to cover the majority of their costs, so every little hit helps . ?I have been training with the support of Tavistock Athletic Club and hope to improve on last year?s time and beat four hours, but it all depends on the day!?
