REMEMBRANCE Sunday approaches, the time for us all to pay our respects to those brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in order that we may live in peace and freedom.
I, along with an increasing number of Tavistock residents, attend the service of remembrance held in the heart of our beautiful town to express our humility and great debt of gratitude for their sacrifice.
With these increased numbers it's now impossible for everyone to be accommodated within the designated area, leaving no alternative but to stand on the road, which is highly dangerous and could lead to a serious accident.
Is it really too much to ask that traffic be diverted away from the war memorial for the duration of the Remembrance?
