C team no planned match. l Club member Linden Hardisty and former coach, played in County Week, an all doubles competition, for Sussex (his previous county), held in Cambridge recently. As one of the older players he found it very challenging because each county puts out their best team with many young participants who are full time players. Sussex were overall winners and consequently promoted from division 3 to 2. Josh Brown competed in the Royal Mail Plymouth Junior open and closed competitions, with mixed success last week. This is a prestige event with a large entry, held at Hill Lane. Notably for a fourteen year old he reached the semi-final of the under 18s closed event where he was beaten by the No 2 seed an older player.
