A ONE-DAY creative writing workshop for those wishing to mine their life experience will be held at Kamdaris House in Yelverton.

'Writing for Self-Discovery' will be led by Shane Scott, a writer and adult education lecturer who specialises in the teaching of creative writing. He said the workshop would be stimulating and enjoyable and was for those wishing to adopt a personal approach to writing.

'The day will be spent exploring a variety of techniques for tapping into memory, fostering a sense of magic, and turning ideas into words on the page,' he said.

The number of interesting activities were designed to be thought-provoking and a great deal of fun, he added.

The workshop is mixed-ability, aimed at both beginners and more experienced writers.

It starts at 10.30am on Saturday, August 3 and finishes at approximately 5.30pm.

The cost is £35, but a special discounted rate of £25 is available for individuals saying they found out about the workshop in the Tavistock Times.
